Look, this is probably the thing I've done that I'm proudest of. It
originally appeared serialized in the late Hustler Comix. It's the
story of a milquetoasty guy in his 20s who's blessed or cursed with a
gorgeous, mercurial, artsy girlfriend. Two visiting cannibalistic space
chicks see in Alan a perfect mark. They use sex--more than is strictly
necessary--to recruit him into their effort to save their race from
extinction (Could be worse: a lot of guys, the gals just eat). Girlfriend
Jane, in her day job, unwittingly works for the space chicks' great
rivals, a male race of brutish shape-shifting aliens who disguise themselves
as executives. They've been doing pretty well for themselves too.

Alan's and Jane's efforts to save their necks are very funny, written
with a timely sense of satire and irony that you don't find in main-
stream comics. (Writer Link Yaco (MetaCops!) hasn't been welcomed
into that world, where humor tends to be in-jokey, trivial and scarce.)
I'm telling you, this story is brilliant and gets better with successive
re-readings. It is also packed with wall-to-wall X-rated sex and off-
the-wall violence and piercing social commentary, which I think
everyone enjoys in their stroke books.

For all that, even the women I know who have read it have liked it.

I drew it with animation-inspired cleanness but finished with a very
suave, expressive brush line. The buxom Amazonesque space chicks
are hot and the slender and bitchy (yet buxom) Jane is, if anything,
hotter. Alan is hung, but otherwise resembles me, I'm told.
